Certification of IT professionals
Individual practitioners working on public sector engagements are certified against NITA competency standards.
- Validity
- 2 years
- Assessment
- Panel review
- Register
- Public listing
Certification confirms that an individual practitioner meets the competency baseline NITA requires for work on government systems — from network engineering and systems administration to information security and data management.
Certification is personal to the holder and is recognised alongside the accreditation held by the firm engaging them. Procuring entities may require both.
How it works
- Step 1
Register
Create a practitioner profile and select the competency track that matches your discipline.
- Step 2
Evidence
Upload qualifications, professional certifications and verifiable project references.
- Step 3
Assessment
A panel reviews the submission; a competency interview may be scheduled.
- Step 4
Certificate
Certificates are issued for two years and listed on the practitioner register.
