Regulated by NITA

What requires our approval, licence or standard.

If it touches government IT, one of these applies.

Accreditation of IT service providers

Any firm supplying IT goods or services to government must hold a valid NITA accreditation, renewed annually.

Certification of IT professionals

Individual practitioners are certified against NITA competency standards for public-sector engagements.

.gov.gh domain administration

NITA is the sole registrar for the .gov.gh namespace, issuing and revoking names for public institutions.

Data centre & cloud licensing

Operators hosting government workloads are licensed against sovereignty, resilience and security criteria.

Interoperability standards

The Ghana Enterprise Architecture defines how public platforms exchange data and authenticate users.

Capacity building

Training for CIOs, technical staff, legislators and magistrates on ICT law, security and operations.
